Chapter 05: Sith Tomb on Tatooine

CHAPTER 5: SITH TOMB ON TATOOINE    The Dune Sea - Tatooine    14:5:7945 CRC  The Dune Sea stretched in every direction, an ocean of bleached sand and sharp-edged rock beneath the twin suns. Heat shimmered the air, turning the distant mesas into wavering ghosts. Qui-Gon Jinn brought the speeder bike to a gentle halt, the repulsors settling with a low hum. Sand swirled around his boots as he stepped off. Obi-Wan Kenobi stopped his bike beside him, the machine's engine ticking as it cooled. The formation rose from the dunes ahead—a jagged, vertical spine of charcoal-black rock, more than thirty meters in height, its surface deeply weathered with sharp clefts and shadowed fissures. Unnatural against the endless beige. No visible entrance. No movement. Obi-Wan removed his macrobinoculars from his belt and raised them. The lenses whirred softly as they focused. "There it is," he said, his voice tight. "How do we approach this?" The rock formation stood s...

Chapter 04: Occult Mysteries

CHAPTER 4: OCCULT MYSTERIES     Theed Palace - Naboo    14:5:7945 CRC  Theed Palace stands tall against the blue sky. The waterfalls below crash down into crystal-clear pools, their mist catching the sunlight. Inside the palace, the air is cool and quiet. The throne room is quiet except for the low hiss of Captain Panaka's breath through his mask and the faint scrape of Jar Jar's webbed feet against the polished stone. The stained glass windows of the throne room cast long, colored shafts of light across the marble floor. Queen Amidala stood before the central dais, her formal robes a pool of burgundy and gold in the morning sun. The handmaidens flanked her, a silent semicircle of identical faces, their eyes downcast. Sabé stood at her right shoulder, a perfect mirror. The Jedi stood opposite them. Yoda leaned on his gimer stick, his large eyes moving from the queen to the handmaidens and back. Mace Windu's hands were clasped before him, his ex...

Chapter 03: Return to Mos Espa

CHAPTER 3: RETURN TO MOS ESPA    Mos Espa, Tatooine     14:5:7945 CRC Dawn on Tatooine. The twin suns clear the horizon, casting long pale gold shadows across the dunes and the clustered buildings of Mos Espa. The spaceport town stirs to life: moisture farmers haggle with water vendors at the central market, Jawa traders unload salvaged droid parts from their sandcrawlers, and the distant whine of a podracer engine tests somewhere beyond the Boonta Eve Arena. Street vendors shout in Huttese, Rodian bounty hunters lean against cantina walls, and a Twi'lek slave carries water jugs past a Hutt enforcer who watches from the shadow of a corrugated awning. The city is awake, but the edge of town near Watto's Junkshop is quieter. The Hutt Cartel's grip on Mos Espa is absolute, felt in every transaction and every shadow. Jabba the Hutt rules from his palace beyond the Dune Sea, but his presence saturates the streets through his nephew Gorba, who oversees th...

Chapter 02: The Naboo Summit

Image
CHAPTER 2: THE NABOO BLOCKADE    The Reliant - In Orbit Around Naboo    14:5:7945 CRC  Queen Amidala steps onto the boarding ramp of the Naboo Royal Starship at Theed Palace, the chrome hull gleaming under the midday sun as Captain Panaka, Sabé, and Senator Palpatine follow close behind. The boarding ramp retracts with a smooth hydraulic hiss, sealing the Naboo delegation inside the ship's gleaming interior. The air here is filtered, cool, and smells of polished metal a stark contrast to Theed's humid, waterfall-scented breeze. Captain Panaka moves immediately to the forward viewport, his eyes scanning the sky. "Orbital control confirms our flight path is clear to the coordinates. The Federation has opened a corridor. For now." Senator Palpatine stands beside the queen, his hands folded before him. "A gesture of goodwill, Your Highness. They wish this negotiation to proceed." "They wish my signature on their treaty," Amidala says, her voice meas...
